Oracle Ravello Cloud Service - cloud service that enables organizations to migrate VMware and KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) workloads to the public cloud without making any configuration changes. Customers can naturally run VMware in the public cloud without converting virtual machines, reconfiguring applications, or making network changes. Also service provides full flexibility of L2 and L3 network solutions in the public cloud.

Migrate VMWare and KVM, without changes
VMware and KVM virtual environments can now be used in the cloud as well as in the datacenter. Ravello's hypervisor encapsulates the entire infrastructure for them. The OS, virtual device drivers, application settings, and network settings remain unchanged.
Software-defined networking
Ravello allows you to create isolated second-level software-defined networks of any topology in Oracle, AWS, or Google clouds, including network devices and L2 and L3 layer security components. This allows you to clone virtual environments with complex network settings. You do not need to change the IP, subnet, VLAN, VMware link aggregation, or VxLAN settings. Even routing types that may not be supported by the cloud provider itself, including broadcast, multicast, and others, are supported.
Snapshots and reference configurations
One click is enough to take a snapshot of the virtual machine's reference configuration, including disk status, memory, network settings, and all applications. In the future, this configuration can be repeatedly replicated in manual or automatic mode.

REST API supported Ravello allows you to process the description of the reference configurations as the code, making the test infrastructure automatically. Integration with third-party systems such as Jenkins is fully supported.

Configurations can be combined into libraries and used in multi-user mode.
